Conversation Practice: At the Airport
Characters: Mia and David
Mia: Hey, David! It’s almost time for our flight!
David: Hi, Mia! I know, I’m so excited! Have you checked in already?
Mia: Yes, I did! I also got our boarding passes. We just need to go through security now.
David: Great! I’ve got my passport and ticket ready. Do you have your ID?
Mia: Yes, I’ve got everything. I’m all set. Are you carrying any snacks for the flight?
David: I packed some chips and a water bottle. What about you?
Mia: I brought some fruit and a granola bar. I’ll probably buy a drink at the airport too.
David: That sounds good! I’m hoping they have good food on the plane.
Mia: Me too! I’m also looking forward to watching the movies. Do you have any headphones?
David: Yes, I do. I’ve got them in my bag. We should probably check the gate number.
Mia: Good idea! Let me check the board.
(Mia looks at the flight information board.)
Mia: Our flight is at Gate 22. We have some time, so let’s grab a coffee before heading over.
David: Sounds like a plan! I could really use a coffee right now.
(They head to the coffee shop.)
David: So, what’s the first thing you’re going to do when we arrive?
Mia: I think I’ll find a taxi to the hotel. I can’t wait to relax. What about you?
David: I want to explore the city a bit before we go to the hotel. Maybe check out some local shops.
Mia: That sounds fun! Let’s do that together.
(They enjoy their coffee before heading to their gate.)

Ben: I think I’ll have a cappuccino. How about you?
Laura: I’m in the mood for a latte. I love how creamy it is.
Ben: Lattes are so good! Do you want anything to eat?
Laura: Maybe a muffin. They look so fresh. What are you having?
Ben: I think I’ll try a croissant. I’ve been craving one all day!
(They walk to the counter to order.)
