The Clever Fox and the Cunning Crow
In a peaceful forest, a clever fox named Raju and a cunning crow named Kala lived near each other.
Both were known for their wits, but they often used their cleverness for their own gain.
One day, Raju the fox was feeling very hungry. As he was wandering through the forest, he spotted a piece of cheese on the ground.
He was about to grab it when he saw Kala the crow perched on a nearby tree, eyeing the cheese.
Raju knew that if he wanted the cheese, he would have to outsmart Kala, who was known for her tricks.
So, Raju came up with a plan. He walked up to Kala and said, “Good day, Kala! You look so beautiful today.
I have heard that your singing is the best in the entire forest. Can you sing a song for me?”
Kala, flattered by Raju’s praise, puffed up her chest and began to sing. She sang with all her heart, hoping to impress the fox.
While she was singing, she forgot about the cheese on the ground.
Raju took advantage of the distraction. He quickly grabbed the piece of cheese and ran off into the bushes, taking it to his den.
When Kala finished her song and saw the cheese was gone, she realized she had been tricked.
Feeling embarrassed, Kala decided to teach Raju a lesson.
The next day, she found a large juicy fruit and placed it on a rock in a spot where Raju often passed by. Then she hid behind a bush and waited.
When Raju saw the fruit, he was thrilled and quickly moved to grab it. But before he could reach it, Kala swooped down and cawed loudly, “Raju, I see you’re interested in that fruit!
I’ve heard it’s very special. But you know, the fruit will taste even better if you give it a little shake first!”
Raju, eager to get the fruit, shook it vigorously. To his surprise, the fruit split open, and a bunch of small, sharp thorns fell out, making the fruit impossible to eat.
Realizing he had been outwitted, Raju scowled and turned to Kala.
“You’ve taught me a lesson today, Kala. I should have known better than to try and trick you.”
Kala cawed triumphantly and said, “Cleverness should be used wisely, Raju. It’s always better to share and help each other than to deceive.”
From that day on, Raju and Kala decided to use their wits for good. They became friends and worked together to solve problems in the forest.
The animals admired their new partnership and learned that using their cleverness to help others was far more rewarding than tricking them.
And so, Raju the fox and Kala the crow became known as the wisest and most cooperative friends in the forest, showing that cleverness and friendship could go hand in hand.

The Gift of the Mango Tree

The spirit nodded and waved its hand. In an instant, the mango tree was rejuvenated. Its branches were full, and its mangoes were more luscious than ever before.
The villagers were astonished when they saw the transformed tree and were overjoyed to see their favorite mangoes back.
Maya was overjoyed too. The village celebrated the return of the magnificent mango tree with a grand feast.
