The Little Lamp
In a quaint village named Jaitpur, there was an old shop owned by a kind man named Anil.
His shop was filled with beautiful, handcrafted lamps of all shapes and sizes.
Despite his talent, Anil struggled to make a living, as his lamps were not as popular as he hoped.
One evening, as Anil was closing his shop, a young girl named Meera came in with a small, broken lamp. “Sir,” she said, “my grandmother’s lamp is broken. Can you fix it, please?”
Anil took a closer look at the lamp. It was old and dusty, but there was something special about it. “I will do my best,” he said.
He carefully cleaned and repaired the lamp, adding a touch of his own craftsmanship to make it shine like new.
When Meera came back to pick up the lamp, she was thrilled. “Thank you so much! My grandmother will be so happy to have this back.”
As a token of her gratitude, Meera handed Anil a small, golden coin. “Please accept this gift. It’s all I have.”
Anil accepted the coin with a smile. “Thank you, Meera. I’m glad I could help.”
The next day, as Anil was working in his shop, he heard a knock on the door. To his surprise, Meera returned with her grandmother.
The old woman was holding a beautiful, antique lamp and said, “This lamp has been in our family for generations. We believe it has special powers.
We want to give it to you as a token of our gratitude for fixing the old lamp.”
Anil was amazed and accepted the gift with great respect. That night, he placed the antique lamp in his shop and lit it.
As the warm glow filled the shop, something magical happened.
The light from the lamp seemed to attract more customers, and Anil’s shop became bustling with people interested in his lamps.
Word spread about Anil’s craftsmanship and the magical lamp. His business flourished, and he was able to support his family comfortably.
Anil never forgot the kindness of Meera and her grandmother.
He continued to help others whenever he could, just as he had helped Meera.

The Brave Little Mouse
