It was a quiet morning in a small town. Maya sat by the window, looking at the rain that tapped against the glass.

She loved rainy days, but today, something was missing. Her grandmother had promised to visit her today, but she hadn’t arrived yet. Maya looked at the clock. It was already past noon.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Maya jumped up in excitement. She opened the door to find her grandmother standing there with a big smile. “Sorry I’m late, dear,” she said, holding up a small, torn envelope. “I had to find this letter first.”

Maya took the envelope and opened it carefully. Inside was a letter from her grandfather, who had passed away a few years ago. He had written it to her grandmother on their anniversary many years ago.

“I found this letter hidden in an old book,” Grandma said softly. “I thought I had lost it forever.”

Maya smiled, feeling the warmth of her grandmother’s hand in hers. “I’m glad you found it.”

As they sat down with cups of tea, Maya felt like the rainy day had turned into something special. The lost letter had brought them closer, and it was a reminder that even small, quiet moments could be full of meaning.
