Conversation Practice: At the Park
Characters: Anna and Ben
Anna: Hi, Ben! What’s up?
Ben: Hey, Anna! Not much. Just enjoying the sunny day. How about you?
Anna: Same here! It’s such a nice day for a walk. Do you want to go around the park?
Ben: Yeah, that sounds great! I love walking here. It’s so peaceful.
Anna: I know, right? Look at all the flowers. They’re beautiful!
Ben: They are! I like the roses the most. What’s your favorite flower?
Anna: I think I like daisies. They’re so simple and cute.
Ben: Good choice! I like those too. So, do you come to the park often?
Anna: Yeah, I try to come every weekend. How about you?
Ben: I come here sometimes after work. It helps me relax.
Anna: I agree! It’s so quiet, and you can just clear your mind.
Ben: Definitely. I also like to watch people play soccer over there. It’s fun to see.
Anna: I love watching sports! It’s exciting. Do you play any sports?
Ben: I play basketball with some friends. What about you?
Anna: I enjoy running and yoga. Maybe we can do a workout together next time!
Ben: That sounds like a great idea! Let’s plan for that.
(They continue walking.)
Anna: I think I’ll sit by the lake for a few minutes. Want to join me?
Ben: Sure, I’d love to. Let’s relax for a bit.
(They sit down by the lake and enjoy the view.)
Anna: This is so nice. We should do this more often.
Ben: Absolutely. It’s perfect for a peaceful day.
Conversation Practice: At the Library
Characters: Lily and Tom
Lily: Hey, Tom! What are you doing here?
Tom: Hi, Lily! I’m just looking for some books to read. What about you?
Lily: Same here! I need to find a good novel. Do you have any recommendations?
Tom: Well, I like mystery books. Have you read any by Agatha Christie?
Lily: I haven’t! I’ve heard of her. Are her books good?
Tom: Yes, they’re really good! She’s great at writing exciting mysteries. You should try Murder on the Orient Express.
Lily: That sounds interesting! I’ll look for that. I also like fantasy books. Do you know any good ones?
Tom: Hmm, if you like fantasy, you might enjoy Harry Potter. It’s a great series!
Lily: I’ve already read Harry Potter! But I love it so much, I might read it again.
Tom: It’s always fun to reread a favorite book. I do that too.
Lily: I also need to find a book for my school project. It has to be about history. Do you know any good history books?
Tom: Oh, I think there’s a book called A Short History of the World. It’s interesting and easy to read.
Lily: That sounds perfect! I’ll check it out. Thanks, Tom!
Tom: No problem! Let me know if you need any other ideas.
Lily: I will! I’ll see you around!
