Once upon a time, there was a little cloud named Puffy who dreamed of floating high in the sky. Unlike the other clouds, Puffy found it difficult to float and often felt sad and different.

The Little Cloud Who Couldn’t Float Story
Once Upon a Time…
In a sky full of big, fluffy clouds, there was a little cloud named Puffy. Puffy was small, white, and round, but unlike the other clouds, she couldn’t float properly.
Every time she tried, she would wobble and sink down, landing gently on the ground. She would puff up again, trying to float higher, but she always sank back down.
“Oh no,” Puffy sighed. “I just can’t float like the others.”
The other clouds, like Fluffy and Cloudy, floated high in the sky, drifting with the wind. They laughed and danced, casting cool shadows on the Earth below. Puffy wanted to join them, but no matter what she tried, she always fell.
Trying Harder
One morning, Puffy decided she would try harder. She filled herself with air and puffed up as much as she could.
“I’ll float this time!” she said, determination in her little voice.
But as soon as the wind started to blow, she wobbled and dropped down again. She landed in a soft meadow, surrounded by colorful flowers. Puffy felt sad.
“Oh, why can’t I float like the others?” she asked the wind.
The wind whispered, “Maybe you need a little help, Puffy.”
Puffy looked up, hopeful. “Help? But from who?”
“You’ll see,” said the wind.
Meeting the Butterfly
While Puffy rested in the meadow, a bright yellow butterfly fluttered by. It landed on a nearby flower, and Puffy called out, “Hello, Butterfly!”
The butterfly smiled and flew over. “Hi, little cloud. What’s the matter?”
“I just want to float in the sky like the other clouds,” Puffy said with a sigh. “But I can’t. I always fall down.”
The butterfly thought for a moment. “You know, sometimes, we all need a little help. Maybe you can float with me. We’ll go on a little adventure together.”
Puffy felt a little better. “Really? Do you think I can?”
“Let’s try!” said the butterfly.
An Adventure Together
Puffy tried again, puffing up her little cloud body. This time, the butterfly flew beside her, flapping its delicate wings. The two friends floated across the meadow, with Puffy floating just a little higher than before.
At first, Puffy was scared, but then the butterfly whispered, “Don’t worry, I’ll guide you. Just follow me.”
The wind blew gently, lifting them higher into the sky. Puffy felt a thrill as she floated along, following the butterfly’s gentle lead. Together, they danced through the soft, blue sky, swirling and twirling. Puffy had never felt so light!
“Look, Puffy! You’re floating!” the butterfly cheered.
“I’m floating!” Puffy giggled, feeling as though she were part of the sky.
The Big, Fluffy Cloud
As they floated through the sky, Puffy looked down and saw a big, fluffy cloud drifting by. It was as big as a mountain and puffed up high in the air.
“Wow,” Puffy said. “I wish I could be like that cloud, floating all alone in the sky.”
The butterfly fluttered beside her. “You don’t need to be big to float. It’s all about how you move with the wind. You don’t have to be the same as the others. You just have to be yourself.”
Puffy smiled. “I think I understand.”
With the butterfly’s help, Puffy began to float happily, knowing that it didn’t matter how big or small she was—what mattered was the joy of floating with the wind and enjoying the journey.
Puffy Finds Her Way
As Puffy floated higher, she realized that she could go wherever the wind took her. She passed over rivers, forests, and fields, waving down to the animals and people below.
Puffy finally saw her old friends, Fluffy and Cloudy, high in the sky. They looked down and saw Puffy floating beside the butterfly.
“You’re floating, Puffy!” Cloudy called.
“I did it!” Puffy beamed.
From that day on, Puffy never worried about being small or not floating like the others. She learned that everyone has their own way of shining, and sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help.
And so, Puffy floated happily in the sky, always with a little help from the wind and her friends, the butterfly and the clouds.
