The Morning Walk Short Story

Sharing is caring!

Every morning, Rani took a walk through the park near her house. It was her time to enjoy the fresh air and listen to the birds sing. The park was peaceful, with trees swaying gently in the breeze.

One day, as she walked down her usual path, she noticed an old man sitting on a bench. He was feeding the pigeons, and they were flying around him in small circles. Rani smiled and waved, but he didn’t notice her.

She continued walking, but something about the old man made her stop. She turned back and walked over to him. “Good morning, Sir,” she said, smiling brightly.

The old man looked up, his eyes twinkling. “Good morning, young lady. You’re up early today!”

Rani sat beside him, and they began to chat. He told her stories about the park from when he was young, how it used to be full of children playing and families having picnics. Rani listened carefully, fascinated by his memories.

After a while, Rani stood up. “I should go now, but it was nice talking to you,” she said.

The old man smiled and waved as she walked away. As she left the park, Rani felt happy. She realized that even small moments, like a chat with a stranger, could make the day feel brighter.
