The Clever Rabbit

In a dense forest near the village of Anantpur, many animals lived together.

Among them was a clever rabbit named Chintu. Chintu was known for his quick thinking and smart ideas.

One hot summer day, the animals were resting under the shade of a large tree when they heard a loud roar. It was Sheru, the tiger, who was very hungry.

Sheru was feared by all the animals in the forest because he often hunted them for food.

Sheru approached the group of animals and growled, “I am very hungry, and if I don’t eat soon, I will hunt you all!”

The animals trembled with fear, but Chintu, the clever rabbit, stepped forward. “Sheru, you are the strongest and bravest of all.

But hunting us won’t solve your hunger for long. I have a better idea,” Chintu said.

Sheru was intrigued. “What is your idea, little rabbit?” he asked.

Chintu continued, “If you wait for just a while, I will bring you a feast from the other side of the forest.

There is a big fat deer that comes to drink water at the pond every day. If you let me go, I will bring it here for you.”

Sheru thought for a moment and agreed. “Alright, but if you trick me, I will hunt you first!” he warned.

Chintu quickly hopped away towards the pond. Along the way, he picked up a big rock and carried it to the edge of the pond.

He dropped the rock into the water, causing a loud splash and ripples.

Sheru heard the noise and came running. “Where is my feast, rabbit?” he demanded.

Chintu pointed to the pond. “The deer is hiding inside the pond. If you jump in, you will catch it easily,” he said.

Sheru, eager and hungry, peered into the pond. Seeing his own reflection in the water, he thought it was the deer. Without thinking, he leaped into the pond, creating a huge splash.

But instead of catching a deer, Sheru found himself struggling in the water. Chintu knew that tigers are not good swimmers, so he waited until Sheru tired himself out.

Eventually, Sheru managed to climb out of the pond, exhausted and embarrassed.

Chintu hopped up to him and said, “Sheru, I tried to bring you a feast, but it looks like the deer was too smart for both of us.

Maybe it’s better to live peacefully with the other animals and find your food elsewhere.”

Sheru, still catching his breath, realized the wisdom in Chintu’s words. “You are right, little rabbit.

From now on, I will find my food in other ways and leave the animals of this forest in peace.”

The animals cheered for Chintu, the clever rabbit who had saved them all.

From that day on, the forest became a peaceful place where all the animals lived together in harmony, thanks to Chintu’s quick thinking and bravery.

She was known for her beautiful paintings, but she was very poor and could hardly afford to buy new paints and brushes.

Despite this, Anjali’s spirit remained high, and she dreamed of one day creating a masterpiece that would bring joy to everyone.

One evening, as Anjali was walking home from the market, she found an old paintbrush lying on the ground.

It looked ordinary, but when she picked it up, she felt a strange energy flow through her.

She decided to take it home, curious to see how it would work.

The next morning, Anjali dipped the paintbrush into her meager supply of paint and started to paint a simple flower.

To her amazement, as soon as she finished, the flower on the canvas came to life and bloomed right in front of her eyes.

Anjali was stunned. She realized that the paintbrush was magical and could bring her paintings to life.

Anjali’s mind raced with possibilities. She began painting fruits, vegetables, and even a well of fresh water.

Each painting came to life, and soon Anjali’s small hut was filled with everything she needed.

News of her magic paintbrush spread quickly, and villagers started visiting her, hoping she could help them with their problems.

A farmer whose crops had failed came to Anjali.

He asked her to paint a field of healthy crops. Anjali gladly did so, and the farmer’s field flourished.

A woman whose house had been damaged in a storm requested a new roof.

Anjali painted it, and the roof appeared, strong and sturdy.

As she continued to help the villagers, Anjali noticed that her own life was becoming more comfortable.

But she remained humble and continued to use the magic paintbrush for the good of her community.

One day, the greedy landlord of the village, Ramesh, heard about Anjali’s magic paintbrush. He decided to take it for himself.

He approached Anjali and demanded, “Give me that paintbrush, or I will take your home!”

Anjali refused, knowing that Ramesh would use the paintbrush for selfish purposes.

Ramesh, furious, snatched the brush from her hand and stormed off to his mansion.

Ramesh began painting gold and jewels, dreaming of unimaginable wealth. But as he finished his paintings, they turned into piles of useless stones.

Frustrated, he tried painting a grand palace, but it crumbled into dust as soon as it appeared.

The magic paintbrush only worked for those with a kind heart.

Realizing the paintbrush was useless to him, Ramesh threw it away in anger.

Anjali found it and took it back. She continued to use it to help her village, always painting from her heart.

Under Anjali’s care, Kanchipuram became a prosperous and happy village.

The people admired Anjali not just for her magical gift, but for her kindness and generosity.

They understood that true magic came from a good heart and a desire to help others.

And so, Anjali’s paintings brought life and joy to the village, making it a better place for everyone.

The magic paintbrush remained a symbol of the power of kindness and creativity.
