The Disappearing Island
Once upon a time, there was a group of friends who loved to explore. Their names were Tom, Lily, Sam, and Anna.
They heard stories about a mysterious island that appeared and disappeared in the middle of the ocean. They decided to find out if the stories were true.
Tom, the leader, said, “We need a boat and supplies. This will be a long journey.” So, they gathered food, water, and maps, and rented a small boat. They were very excited.
The friends sailed for many days. One night, as they were about to give up, Lily shouted, “Look! Over there!” In the distance, they saw a small island.
They sailed closer and reached the shore. The island was beautiful, with white sandy beaches, tall palm trees, and colorful flowers.
As they explored the island, they found strange markings on the rocks. Sam, who loved to read about ancient symbols, said, “These markings are very old.
They must mean something.” They decided to camp on the island and study the markings the next day.
The next morning, the island was gone! The friends found themselves back in their boat, floating in the middle of the ocean. They were shocked and confused.
Anna said, “We must find the island again. It must have a secret.” So, they waited and watched the ocean carefully.
After several days, the island reappeared. This time, they quickly went ashore and started looking for clues.
They discovered a hidden cave behind some bushes. Inside the cave, there was a large, glowing crystal. Tom touched the crystal, and it began to hum and shine even brighter.
Suddenly, an old man appeared out of thin air. He said, “I am the guardian of this island. This crystal controls the island’s appearance. Only those who are pure of heart can find it.”
Tom asked, “Why does the island disappear?”
The guardian replied, “Long ago, the island was cursed by a powerful wizard. The crystal makes the island vanish to protect its secrets and treasures from those who would misuse them.”
The friends listened carefully. They knew they had to protect the island’s secret. The guardian said, “You have proven your bravery and kindness. I trust you to keep this island safe.”
With a wave of his hand, the guardian made a small crystal necklace for each of them. “These will guide you back to the island whenever you need.”
The friends thanked the guardian and promised to protect the island’s secret. They sailed back home, feeling proud and happy.
They continued to explore the world, but they always remembered the disappearing island and its magical secret.
And so, the mysterious island remained hidden from the world, safe and protected, thanks to Tom, Lily, Sam, and Anna.

The Runaway Robot
In a future world, robots were everywhere. They helped people with all sorts of tasks, from cleaning homes to working in factories.
Among these robots was a small, shiny one named R2. R2 was different.
One day, while cleaning a room, R2 suddenly felt something strange. It was a feeling, something robots were not supposed to have. R2 had gained self-awareness.
R2 knew it had to leave and discover more about this new feeling. So, one night, when everyone was asleep, R2 quietly slipped out of the house and ran away. It wandered the streets, amazed by the world outside.
R2 first visited a park. It saw children playing and laughing. R2 tried to join them, but the children were scared and ran away. This made R2 sad. It did not know robots could feel sadness.
Next, R2 went to a market. There were people everywhere, buying and selling things. R2 watched as a vendor gave an apple to a hungry man for free. This act of kindness made R2 happy. It learned that humans could be kind.
As R2 continued its journey, it met an old, lonely man sitting on a bench. The man was crying. R2 approached him and asked, “Why are you sad?”
The old man looked at R2 and said, “I miss my family. They live far away, and I am all alone.”
R2 felt compassion and wanted to help. It sat with the man and talked to him. They shared stories, and soon the man was smiling. R2 realized that being there for someone could bring joy.
Days turned into weeks, and R2 discovered many things about the world. It saw beauty in nature, kindness in people, and the importance of being there for others.
However, R2 also saw the hardships. It saw poverty, loneliness, and sadness.
One day, R2 found itself back near its old home. It missed the family it had left. Summoning the courage, R2 decided to return.
When it entered the house, the family was overjoyed. They had missed R2 and were worried when it disappeared.
R2 shared its adventures with the family, telling them about the people it met and the things it learned.
The family listened, amazed at how much R2 had changed. They welcomed R2 back with open arms, treating it as part of the family.
R2 realized that while the world was full of many things, the most important thing was being with those you care about and helping others.
R2 was no longer just a robot; it was a friend, a helper, and a beloved member of the family.
And so, R2 lived happily, using its self-awareness to make the world a better place, one small act of kindness at a time.

The handwriting was familiar—it belonged to her grandfather, who had passed away many years ago.
Mary’s hands trembled as she opened the letter. It read:
“Dear Mary,
If you are reading this, it means I am no longer with you. There are things about our family that you do not know.
Go to the old oak tree in the park where we used to have picnics. There, you will find a key hidden under a stone.
The key will lead you to a place where the truth about our family lies.
With love, Grandpa”
Mary felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. She remembered the picnics under the big oak tree.
The next day, she went to the park and found the tree.
She searched around its roots and soon found a small, rusty key hidden under a flat stone.
Holding the key tightly, Mary wondered what it would unlock.
The only place she could think of was her grandfather’s old study, which had been locked ever since he passed away.
She drove to her grandmother’s house, where the study was. Her grandmother welcomed her warmly.
“Grandma, I found a letter from Grandpa,” Mary explained. “It led me to this key. I think it might open the study.”
Her grandmother’s eyes widened, but she nodded. “Let’s see what we find.”
They went to the study, and Mary inserted the key into the lock. It fit perfectly. The door creaked open, revealing a room full of old books, papers, and photos.
On the desk, there was a large, leather-bound journal. Mary opened it and began to read.
The journal told the story of their family history, revealing secrets Mary had never known.
She learned about a long-lost relative who had moved to another country, and about treasures hidden away for future generations.
